Well- because I don’t have kids- that made it a lot less complicated. I left. Literally bought a car and drove across the country. Came back a few months later and moved everything out.

Emotionally- I just had to realize that his reactions were no longer my responsibility- they never really were and they were a way he was trying to manipulate me into staying. Once I realized that, I could hold myself against it.
